Shamanic journeying is an ancient art practised across many cultures. In shamanism, we believe that there is an energetic reality that lies beyond the physical – and that this reality as just as real as the one we can perceive with our waking senses. The art of journey allows us to enter this non-ordinary reality to gather information or energy that has been lost and bring it to where it is needed in ordinary reality. Changes we make there have an effect here (and vice versa). As healers this is a tremendously important tool to have, giving us the opportunity to receive diagnostic information and to work symbolically and yet powerfully on our clients’ energy body and subconscious minds. It also allows us to develop strong relationships with healing allies and spirit teachers, another ancient art found across cultures that can be a lifeline for modern Reiki people.

This course is undertaken over 3 live, weekly classes and supported with recorded teachings and journeying mp3s. It is suitable for Reiki 1 and above (we do not work with any Reiki symbols) and does not require any shamanic experience.

Understanding the visionary aspect of the healers path and exploring when it is ok – and not ok – to share what you have seen. Includes a recorded healing ceremony to protect you as a visionary healer.

Introducing the Upper World, journeying to meet a Reiki Spirit guide, and closing ceremony.

Recorded teaching 4: Journeying for yourself
Guidance on building a regular journeying practice – not just to assist clients, but for your own spiritual development, and a self healing journey.

How to know if this is the right course for you

This training is open to Reiki people of any level or lineage, who are committed to a path of healing and/or personal development. It brings one of the most essential aspects of shamanism into reach for Reiki healers, to make their practice more powerful and effective – but it is not training as a shamanic practitioner or an initiation into a particular lineage or tradition. It is also not a training in mediumship or any form of channeling. Like all my Shamanic Reiki offerings, these are shamanic skills for Reiki people.

This training is a powerful doorway into more masterful healing practice if any of the following apply:

• You are a Reiki person (Reiki 1 or above) with an interest in shamanism or visionary practice.
• You have either no shamanic experience, or have done some journeying or shamanic healing before but are yet to create a personal journeying practice that feels personal and sustainable.
• You have shamanic as well as Reiki training and want to find a powerful way to integrate and reconcile the two systems.
• You feel that there is information available to you, either in your meditation or healing practice, but are not sure how to interpret it or confident in your perception.
• You are interested in spirit guides and guidance from the spirit realm, and want to build these relationships while still maintaining a healing practice that is safe and grounded in reality.
• You want develop your understanding of spiritual work, based in the established Reiki principles of compassion, oneness, and the interconnectedness of all life (including nature).
• You are committed to using visionary information responsibly, taking what you perceive as guidance on the path and only sharing with others what is empowering and helpful for them.

This is not the course you are looking for if:

• You want to qualify as a shamanic practitioner. I am qualified, but I do not offer that kind of programme of training. I teach shamanic skills to Reiki people so they can become even more awesome than they already are.
• You are seeking connection to a particular shamanic lineage. The skills I teach are based in core shamanism – the idea that there are several techniques that were common across traditions – and they therefore can be effective for energy workers regardless of location or lineage.
• You have had issues with psychosis, schizophrenia or hallucinations in the past – this work takes place in non-ordinary reality, so the ability to understand the difference between non-ordinary and ordinary reality is essential.
• You are sensitive to sound healing work – all of this work is done with drumming, and although it is supported by Reiki it may be uncomfortable for you if you are particularly sensitive to sound.
• You want to operate as a medium or practise “channeling” of spirit beings or “light language”. This work is for healers and, while healers who are also mediums are welcome to attend, there will be no channeling. We will share our experiences in the class for teaching purposes, but the ability to not pass on everything you perceive to your client is an essential discipline for all healers and is a powerful principle of this training.
• You are not attuned to Reiki. This is the foundational energy I use in all my shamanic skills training, so this course is not for complete beginners to healing work I’m afraid.

About your teacher

I have been a Reiki healer and a shamanic practitioner for over 20 years, and I incorporate both systems into all of my healing work and my personal practice. I think working from a shamanic viewpoint is the best way to achieve powerful, long-lasting results for clients. I also think that Reiki is the most important tool a healer can have, and that using Reiki as our source for healing energy leads to safest and most effective work for the healer and the client.

My work is to support Reiki people in becoming more powerful healers and visionaries in the world, using established shamanic techniques, and to provide a safe healing and developmental space for healers.
